My hair is quite curly... I'm trying to grow it to see how I like it. It's currently about 3 - 3 1/2 inches long. I have no idea what to do with it. I usually go with the messy look. You might try gel if you want a more defined, less messy look. After you get out of the shower put a little conditioner back into your hair, until it feels like wet silk. Then scrunch some gel (LA Looks sport gel is good) into your hair with your hands. Don't touch your hair until it dries (maybe scrunch some of the water out with a t shirt) and you should have frizz free hair. If your hair is crunchy once it has dried, just scrunch out the texture with a little aloe vera gel. I'm not sure what other way there is to wear men's hair... I hope this helps!

Best Curly Hair Shampoo/Conditioner for Men?
I have naturally curly hair, and I want to let it grow and get longer however the shampoo and conditioner I'm using aren't really doing to the trick (they're just generic all-purpose, I guess). So what shampoo and conditioner are good curly hair? I see a lot of stuff for women but is there anything for guys? Does it matter? If you really want something to work you will have to order it. You can't get too picky if you want something to really work! :) Arbonne has a Nourishing Shampoo and conditioner. The thing with Arbonne is it is all natural and will adjust to your hair type. It is not gender specific b/c there are no fragrances added. Only plants are use and your hair will do what it is supposed to do. If it is fizzy, it will take the frizz away...your hair will feel better than you ever thought possible! If you dont find anything, here's you option

Ok, im not metro or anything but im willing to try new things. For the past 3 years my hair has gotten more curly and more curly. Depends on the girl, and it also depends on your personal sense of style. Using a product on your hair can help control the curls a bit, but you can use product and make it appear more natural. If you have shorter curly hair, try putting a small but of moose or gel ( if your hair stands up well on it's own, use gel. if you need more volume, use moose) in you hair and working through well. use a blowdryer and work with the curls. it will give you a very natural look. if you have more questions, feel free to IM me or e-mail me. Or depending how much you want to spend, you can do the Japanese thermal straightening at a salon but it usually costs around $300 but I don't know if it's the same price if you have really short hair. But that's supposed to keep your hair straight even if you wash it. Just call some salons in your area and ask if they do that service and how much for your length of hair.
Same way a woman would... get a Japanese Thermal Straightening or use a relaxer. But, a really good flat iron and some straightening balm should do the trick.

If your hair is dry you're not providing it with enough moisture. You say you have moisturizing shampoos %26amp; conditioners but are they really moisturizing or do it just say that in the name?
You don't say anything about your hair routine so, i'll just say my two cents
Add a tablespoon of baking soda to a bottle of conditioner, make sure the conditioner does not contain any products that have cone at the end of it's name (these ingredients cause build up), and use that to wash your hair. Now you have a moisturizing conditioner.
I do not know the ingredients of the product you suggest but the oil I use for my hair is Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil with Ginseng, it has nothing but oils in the ingredients and a fragrance all the way at the end. I wash my hair, then put the oil in while my hair is wet, let it sit for 15 min., and wash my hair again. To make the curl pattern more loose and defined, I suggest getting a texturizer. A texturizer is a mild relaxer. I also recommend that you have a professional do, it though it can be done at home if you follow the directions to the T.
Adding gel or holding spray to your hair while it is wet will get the curl pattern to stay.
I suggest you shampoo less often and condition more often. Add jojoba oil to your hair and sit in a steam shower to allow the moisture to penetrate your hair. Always apply a leave in conditioner when you hair is wet. That should help with the dryness.

With thick, curly hair, you should definitely invest in the best, ie GHD or equivalent, as cheap straighteners that don't reach 200 degrees or more are going to have little effect, and non-ceramic is going to destroy your hair. They are pretty expensive, but I think you get your money's worth. If your hair is short then you can get thinner straighteners like the ones shown here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GHD-MARK-4-IV-MENS鈥?/a> You will probably find that you wouldn't have to straighten your hair daily, perhaps every other day. To minimise damage to your hair it is advisable to use some sort of heat protection product. My favourite was the GHD barrier spray which cost about a tenner, but there are loads to choose from. Also, perhaps you could use a shampoo which relaxes curls, just to give your hair a head start!

Hey the best ones are GHD's and they come in guy versions! but if you hair is as thick as you say then i would just go for the lady ones probably hotter and work better lol.
I use my GHD's everyday and they dont do any damage as long as you use a heat defence spray that you can buy in boots chemist. Treseme is the best!

What's a hairstyle for men with medium length curly hair? ?
My hair is quite curly... I'm trying to grow it to see how I like it. It's currently about 3 - 3 1/2 inches long. I have no idea what to do with it. I usually go with the messy look. Throw some mousse in and shake. Anything a little more... attractive... would be nice. Thanks!What's a hairstyle for men with medium length curly hair? ?
You might try gel if you want a more defined, less messy look. After you get out of the shower put a little conditioner back into your hair, until it feels like wet silk. Then scrunch some gel (LA Looks sport gel is good) into your hair with your hands. Don't touch your hair until it dries (maybe scrunch some of the water out with a t shirt) and you should have frizz free hair. If your hair is crunchy once it has dried, just scrunch out the texture with a little aloe vera gel. I'm not sure what other way there is to wear men's hair... I hope this helps!

If you really want something to work you will have to order it. You can't get too picky if you want something to really work! :) Arbonne has a Nourishing Shampoo and conditioner. The thing with Arbonne is it is all natural and will adjust to your hair type. It is not gender specific b/c there are no fragrances added. Only plants are use and your hair will do what it is supposed to do. If it is fizzy, it will take the frizz away...your hair will feel better than you ever thought possible! Ok, im not metro or anything but im willing to try new things. For the past 3 years my hair has gotten more curly and more curly. Depends on the girl, and it also depends on your personal sense of style. Using a product on your hair can help control the curls a bit, but you can use product and make it appear more natural. If you have shorter curly hair, try putting a small but of moose or gel ( if your hair stands up well on it's own, use gel. if you need more volume, use moose) in you hair and working through well. use a blowdryer and work with the curls. it will give you a very natural look. if you have more questions, feel free to IM me or e-mail me. Add a tablespoon of baking soda to a bottle of conditioner, make sure the conditioner does not contain any products that have cone at the end of it's name (these ingredients cause build up), and use that to wash your hair. Now you have a moisturizing conditioner.
I do not know the ingredients of the product you suggest but the oil I use for my hair is Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil with Ginseng, it has nothing but oils in the ingredients and a fragrance all the way at the end. I wash my hair, then put the oil in while my hair is wet, let it sit for 15 min., and wash my hair again. To make the curl pattern more loose and defined, I suggest getting a texturizer. A texturizer is a mild relaxer. I also recommend that you have a professional do, it though it can be done at home if you follow the directions to the T.
Adding gel or holding spray to your hair while it is wet will get the curl pattern to stay.
I suggest you shampoo less often and condition more often. Add jojoba oil to your hair and sit in a steam shower to allow the moisture to penetrate your hair. Always apply a leave in conditioner when you hair is wet. That should help with the dryness.

i have naturally curly hair (i think they call them spirals?) and i do a basic parting across the top. i then use mousse to tame it, because it gets frizzy. the hair is a bit less than shoulder length. also, my face is oval shaped. but i've had the same style since January and i am bored with it now. this question is aimed at women: what is an attractive hairstyle you could recommend for me?
